Morrison & Fuson Insurance Agency holds the honor of being the oldest active business in Dickson, TN, and one of the oldest insurance agencies in the state. We hold the distinction of representing many of our core insurance companies for over 25 years.
Morrison & Fuson has received many professional awards, honors, and designations over the years, but the story that prevails is one of family and community. We’ve operated continually through five generations of family agents.

1908
The beginnings of Morrison & Fuson Insurance Agency emerged when William Pope Morrison purchased an agency from S.G. Robertson and opened The Morrison Agency.

1921
His son, Will Cummins Morrison, joined as a partner, and they renamed the agency W.P. Morrison & Son. They operated in the First National Bank Building in downtown Dickson where they would remain until 1972.

1946
The third generation began. Will Cummins Morrison, Jr. joined the firm after returning from the Armed Forces.

1950
Thomas “Tom” M. Fuson graduated from TN Polytechnic Institute and became a state agent with Home Insurance Company.

1953
Tom married Carol Morrison.

1957
Tom became a partner in the agency.

1972
The agency became Morrison & Fuson Insurance Agency in 1972 and moved to the Dickson Professional Building.

1978
The fourth generation began. Thomas “Tommy” M. Fuson, Jr. joined the agency in 1978 after graduating from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in insurance and real estate.

1979
Will C. Morrison, III joined the agency in 1979 after attending Tennessee Technological University.

1980
The agency moved to its present location at 506 Henslee Drive in Dickson, TN.

2001
Tommy and Will, III purchased the agency from Carol and Will, Jr.

2003
The fifth generation began. Stephanie Fuson Scott joined the agency after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a finance and insurance degree and working as a commercial lines underwriter for Cincinnati Insurance Company.

2007
Thomas “Marshall” Fuson, III joined the agency after graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a finance and insurance degree and working as a commercial lines underwriter for Auto Owners Insurance Company.
Throughout the years, our agency has only become stronger. We have leveraged our many years of experience and knowledge to create value and expertise our customers can depend upon. Currently, we have a support staff with over 110 years of combined experience and an agent staff with over 150 years of combined experience. Superior service and commitment to our customers will always be our top priority.
